Social control is the right and the duty of citizens to participate, individually or through their organizations, social networks, and institutions, in the oversight of public management and its results in accordance with the applicable regulations and the correct use of public resources and assets.

Their objective is to strengthen social control, monitor public management, and participate in decision-making.
